2017 Mission Awards

We are pleased to announce the nominees for the 2017 Covenant Health Mission Awards.

This year 38 individuals and 16 teams were nominated from Covenant Health sites across the province. We have received an inspiring array of submissions that describe how the nominees exemplify the values of Covenant Health. The nominees represent a variety of roles, services and departments, underscoring how our mission is woven throughout the entire fabric of the organization.

A special thanks goes to those who submitted nominations to celebrate the contributions of their colleagues and the site champions who helped facilitate the process. Without their time and efforts this celebration would not be possible.

Recipients of the six mission awards will be revealed at the Covenant Health Mission Awards Gala on April 27th in Edmonton. Details of the event will be sent to nominees, their nominators and site champions in the coming weeks.

What is Mission Awards?

Covenant Health’s Mission Awards is our annual organization-wide award program. It recognizes individuals and teams that are outstanding examples of people who live our Mission in all they do. There are six Covenant Health Mission Awards, one for each of our values:

  • Compassion
  • Respect
  • Collaboration
  • Social Justice
  • Integrity
  • Stewardship

Individuals or teams can be nominated for a Mission Award in any of the six categories listed above. Each site is invited to submit up to six site-based nominations, with a maximum of one submission per value. We also invite nominations for individuals and teams who have corporate responsibilities. Nominees represent a variety of roles, services and departments, underscoring how our Mission is woven throughout the entire fabric of the organization.
