Health Information Management

Our diverse teams manage and provide leadership in all aspects of health information, from the collection, coding, use, integrity, access and disclosure, and provision of dictation services to its retention and disposition, in adherence with legislation, accreditation, Medical Staff Bylaws and Rules, and policy. We provide the collection of quality demographic, financial and administrative data to facilitate health care delivery, patient safety, and health and business related decision-making.

If you have questions regarding Access and Disclosure at your site, please contact the Supervisor or Site Lead of Health Information Records Management. 

Patient Information Desk/Switchboard (Rural)

Patient Information Desk may be the patients/clients or visitors first point of contact with Covenant Health and every effort is made to provide courteous and timely response face to face or by telephone.  Direction and way finding to patients/clients and visitors at Covenant Health facilities is provided from our Patient Information Desks.

Switchboard services are provided at the Rural sites by Health Information Management (HIM) staff.  Staff are responsible for call routing, paging and announcing hospital codes and alarms, in conjunction with Information Desk and Patient Registration duties.
