Hand Hygiene

Covenant Health Infection Prevention & Control is committed to patient safety at all levels of the organization by supporting and promoting an environment that encourages infection prevention and control best practices in hand hygiene.

Covenant Health staff, physicians, volunteers and other service providers must perform hand hygiene with soap and water or alcohol-based hand rub when indicated.

Hand hygiene is a shared responsibility. All staff, physicians, volunteers and other service providers will be supported to encourage one another to perform hand hygiene in accordance to the Covenant Health Hand Hygiene policy.
